INSOURCE HEALTH DATA ENTERPRISE TO DELIVER “UNIFIED DATA LAYER” FROM EMIS COMMUNITY PAS AT SOUTH WARWICKSHIRE NHS FOUNDATION TRUST 11.06.19

INSOURCE HEALTH DATA ENTERPRISE WILL SUPPORT COMMUNITY IN ADDITION TO ACUTE ACTIVITY REPORTING.

Insource Ltd has been asked by South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust (SWFT) to expand the functionality of its existing Insource Health Data Enterprise (HDE) data platform to incorporate data from the EMIS community PAS.  This will extend the “Unified Data Layer” and enable the trust to produce its Community reports and statutory returns with ease. HDE will replace the EMIS Analytics Module, which the trust has found not to meet their needs.

Insource’s Health Data Enterprise platform is already established at SWFT, currently configured to source data from the Lorenzo PAS system in support of trust reporting, together with two of HDE’s application modules - CDS Plus for automation of CDS returns and Patient Pathway Plus (PP+) for managing elective care and RTT.   The extension to the HDE implementation for Community will deliver a source of accurate, standardised unified community data, aligned with NHS data dictionary naming conventions and will enable the Information Team to create a suite of reports quickly and easily to address all mission critical reporting and more.

Greg Stevens, Associate Director of Information and Performance at South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust, said of the decision to engage with Insource for this solution, “Having worked successfully with Insource’s HDE data management platform for many years, we trust Insource and their technology to deliver. The Information Team and all stakeholders at the trust look forward with confidence to being able to meet our reporting commitments more easily, by accessing accurate community data from Health Data Enterprise.”

Jackie Sawyer, Director and Co-Founder at Insource said of the extension to Insource’s contract, “We are, of course, delighted to broaden our long-standing partnership with SWFT. We have plenty of experience of working with community data at other trusts and so can be very confident in our ability to deliver the community UDL and the CSDS submission component quickly, helping SWFT to report more easily and with confidence in the data.”
