ICSs – unified data for system-wide insight

The mandate for Integrated Care Systems (ICSs) is a tall one – join up care across local councils, the NHS, the independent sector, and voluntary and community organisations. Covid has shown us that collaborative care is best for the patient but the primary issue is the range of disparate information systems across the health and care eco system and their inability to talk in the same language – which is where we come in.

At Insource we deal with the patient journey and the operational management of care across a geography. We embrace the disparity, and are experts at creating a single, standardised version of the truth despite the varied and ever-changing nature of the underlying systems. Our automated Unified Data Layer (UDL) gives a reliable data foundation for analytics, central reporting, and operational management.

Data – the life blood of integrated care

  • Out-of-box functionality for fast time-to-value

We work with over 60 NHS Trusts and Health Boards

UDL – an accurate data foundation

Our Unified Data Layer (UDL) provides a fully validated, standardised, single source of the truth for all operational data for trust-wide care or ICS coordination. The Insource data platform provides the core foundation for patient journey and waiting list management, and system-wide reporting and analytics.

Powerful insight from patient-level data for elective recovery

Our proven elective care solution, Patient Pathway Plus (PP+), links every patient pathway from referral to treatment and beyond. It allows trusts and ICSs to validate RTT and non-RTT waiting lists with unprecedented speed and accuracy, eliminate spreadsheets, automate reporting, spot bottlenecks, identify priorities including cancers and long-waiters – to help you plan your full elective recovery.

Centralised oversight for system-wide collaboration and capacity planning

Insource enables whole system collaboration by combining multiple provider UDLs into a single ICS-wide source of the truth for centralised oversight. Our system-wide capacity planning and safe bed occupancy tools, also ensure ICSs have full resource usage data at their fingertips for spare capacity identification and resource maximisation.

Elective Care Hubs – for high volume specialties

Elective care hubs aim to pool resources to increase elective productivity and treat patients in date and priority order. At Insource we give an accurate understanding of the underlying waiting time pressures, patient prioritisation at local and system level, and ensure system-wide visibility for resource maximisation, avoiding duplication or patients falling between the cracks.

Specialty-specific national reporting and analytics

Our comprehensive patient-level UDL is a reliable foundation for health inequalities analytics and population health programs. And our solutions enable full system-wide pathway management and reporting. Our extensive automated reports catalogue encompasses acute CDS, specialty-specific reporting such as for Mental Health, Community and Private providers… to ensure reliable, compliant central reporting across an ICS.

Out-of-the-box functionality for fast time-to-value

With so much emphasis on meeting the NHS data strategy and the urgent needs of the elective backlog, starting large data platform development programs only delays progress and costs vast amounts in consultancy fees. At Insource, our 20 years’ expertise and advanced data technology ensure we can deliver proven out-of-the-box functionality, in bite-sized modules and configure it to local needs in a fraction of the time – so you can deliver patient care improvements faster.
